Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

Overview

Naptimes is a baby sleep tracker built for tired parents. This policy explains what data the app handles and how it is stored. The short version: your data stays in your own iCloud account, is never sold, and is never shared with third parties.

Data We Collect

Sleep data. The app stores sleep sessions (start time, end time, sleep type) and child profiles (name, date of birth). This data exists solely to power the app's core functionality.

No analytics, no advertising. The app does not include any analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or third-party tracking. We do not collect device identifiers, usage statistics, or behavioural data.

How Data Is Stored

All data is stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit service. This means:

  • Your data is stored on Apple's servers under your Apple ID, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • We (the developer) have no access to your data at any time.
  • If you delete the app or your iCloud account, your data is deleted with it.

The app also caches data locally on your device (in UserDefaults) for offline access. This data never leaves your device except via iCloud sync.

Optional Sharing

The app includes an optional feature to share your sleep tracker with other caregivers (partner, grandparents, etc.) via iCloud. If you use this feature, the people you invite will be able to view and edit the same sleep data through their own iCloud account. You control who has access and can revoke it at any time.

This feature is not enabled by default and requires you to explicitly invite others.

Children's Privacy

Naptimes stores information about infants and children (name and date of birth) entered by the parent or caregiver. This information is stored only in your personal iCloud account. We do not collect, process, or have access to any information about children.

Your Rights

Because we have no access to your data, requests for data deletion, export, or correction are handled directly through your iCloud account settings. You can delete all app data by deleting your iCloud data for the Naptimes app in Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage.
